FedRAMP Advisory

Bring structure to the path from federal cloud strategy to continuous monitoring.

BCS supports cloud service providers with FedRAMP authorization strategy, System Security Plan and control-documentation development, 3PAO coordination and continuous-monitoring support — without representing itself as the government authorization authority.

The challenge

FedRAMP is not a single assessment. It is a structured authorization and operating discipline.

The work spans authorization strategy, system boundary definition, control implementation, extensive documentation, independent assessment coordination and ongoing monitoring. Teams can lose time when evidence, technical ownership and documentation are treated as separate workstreams instead of parts of one controlled programme.

BCS helps organise that journey so responsibilities, dependencies, documentation and readiness activities remain connected.

What BCS delivers

Advisory support across strategy, documentation, assessment coordination and monitoring.

STRATEGY

Authorization planning

Clarify target pathway, system context, programme assumptions, dependencies and readiness expectations.

DOCUMENTATION

SSP and control content

Support System Security Plan development and the supporting control documentation needed to explain implementation.

ASSESSMENT

3PAO coordination

Prepare for independent assessment activity, manage evidence and organise findings and remediation.

OPERATIONS

Continuous-monitoring support

Establish the governance and evidence routines needed to maintain visibility after initial authorization activity.

Role clarity: BCS provides advisory and coordination support. Government authorization decisions and 3PAO independent assessment responsibilities remain with the appropriate external authorities and assessors.
Key areas of support

Connect programme governance to the security package.

Authorization strategyProgramme approach, scope, roles, milestones and external dependencies.
System boundary and inventoryClarify systems, components, services and responsibility boundaries feeding the authorization package.
SSP developmentSupport control narratives, implementation descriptions and package consistency.
Evidence readinessOrganise artefacts and supporting evidence for assessment and ongoing monitoring.
3PAO coordinationPrepare walkthroughs, evidence responses, issue handling and remediation visibility.
Continuous monitoringSupport recurring evidence, vulnerability, change and reporting activities required after authorization.
How we work

Treat authorization as a programme, not a document-production exercise.

01 — STRATEGY

Frame the path

Confirm target, scope, stakeholders, maturity and programme dependencies.

02 — BUILD

Develop the package

Coordinate control implementation, documentation, evidence and ownership.

03 — ASSESS

Prepare for review

Coordinate readiness for the 3PAO and manage findings through remediation.

04 — SUSTAIN

Maintain monitoring

Embed recurring evidence, change, vulnerability and governance activities.

Typical deliverables

Programme outputs designed to keep work traceable.

Authorization roadmapMilestones, dependencies, ownership and readiness activities across the programme.
SSP development supportControl narratives and implementation content aligned to the system environment.
Readiness and remediation trackerGaps, evidence, owners, target dates and status for assessment preparation.
Continuous-monitoring operating planRecurring responsibilities, evidence and reporting routines after initial authorization work.
Business outcomes

Reduce programme ambiguity across a complex authorization path.

Clearer authorization strategyTeams understand the path, assumptions, stakeholders and major dependencies.
Better documentation consistencyControl narratives, evidence and implementation details are developed as one connected package.
Stronger assessment readinessEvidence and remediation are organised before independent assessment activity intensifies.
More sustainable monitoringPost-authorization responsibilities become part of the operating model rather than an afterthought.
Who this is for

For cloud providers pursuing or supporting U.S. federal business.

Cloud service providers considering FedRAMPWhere the organisation needs to understand the programme structure and build a realistic roadmap.
Teams already building an authorization packageWhere documentation, evidence and ownership need stronger coordination.
Organisations preparing for 3PAO activityWhere readiness, evidence flow and remediation need programme oversight.
Authorized environments strengthening continuous monitoringWhere recurring operational and reporting disciplines need to be sustained.
FAQ

Common questions.

Does BCS grant FedRAMP authorization?

No. BCS provides advisory and programme support. Authorization decisions are made through the applicable FedRAMP and U.S. government processes.

Is BCS a 3PAO?

The supplied service scope is 3PAO coordination, not independent 3PAO assessment. BCS can help prepare for and coordinate that external assessment relationship.

Can you help develop the System Security Plan?

Yes. SSP and control-documentation development are part of the stated advisory scope.

Can you support us after initial authorization work?

Yes. The service scope includes continuous-monitoring support so recurring obligations can be integrated into the operating model.

Turn FedRAMP from a collection of workstreams into a governed programme.

Start with your target pathway, current package maturity and the part of the process creating friction.
